Gentle, Safe Chiropractic Care for Babies and Children in Mississauga

Specialized pediatric training so your child gets care built for their growing body.

Is Chiropractic Care Safe for Babies and Children?

Yes. Gentle, specific care designed for growing bodies.

It is natural for parents to have questions before bringing their newborn or young child to any healthcare provider. You want to be sure it is safe, gentle, and actually helpful. At Tip Top Health, Dr. Natalie Lopez has completed specialized training in pediatric chiropractic care, including certification in the PIPS Technique (Pediatric Intraoral Palate Specific).

Pediatric chiropractic care for babies and children uses extremely gentle, precise pressure, often no more than the weight of a fingertip. It is nothing like adult chiropractic adjustments. The goal is to support healthy development and address discomfort using techniques designed specifically for growing bodies.

Dr. Natalie takes time to understand your child’s history, your concerns as a parent, and what you are hoping to address. Every visit is tailored to your child’s comfort level.

What Can Chiropractic Care Help With in Babies and Children?

Common reasons parents bring their children to Dr. Natalie.

Parents seek pediatric chiropractic care for a range of concerns, including breastfeeding difficulties, fussiness and discomfort, uneven head shape (flattening), neck tension or preference for turning the head one way, digestive issues, and general wellness support during growth phases.

Dr. Natalie does not claim to diagnose or treat specific medical conditions. She assesses how the spine and nervous system are functioning and uses gentle, targeted techniques to support your child’s natural development and comfort.

If a concern falls outside the scope of chiropractic care, Dr. Natalie will tell you and recommend appropriate next steps.

  • Breastfeeding difficulties or latching challenges
  • Fussiness and discomfort with no clear cause
  • Uneven head shape or flat spots
  • Neck tension or always turning the head one way
  • Tummy troubles and digestive issues
  • Support during growth spurts and developmental milestones
  • Recovery after a fall or minor injury
  • Back or neck discomfort from backpacks or screen posture

Parents often book because they want a gentle, experienced provider who will explain what is happening clearly and never rush their child through care.

What Does a Baby or Child’s Visit Look Like?

A calm, reassuring experience designed for your child’s comfort.

During your first visit, Dr. Natalie will have plenty of time to listen to your concerns and observe how your child moves and responds. She will explain every step before she does it.

For babies, treatment may involve gentle, specific touch along the spine or skull using only light fingertip pressure. Sessions are short, babies are often treated in just a few minutes, which is all their small bodies need. Dr. Natalie may also show you simple techniques to use at home between visits.

For older children, sessions are similar to adult visits but adapted in pressure, technique, and pace to suit their size and comfort level. Dr. Natalie speaks directly to your child in age-appropriate language so they feel informed and at ease.

You stay with your child the whole time.

You are welcome to stay with your child throughout the entire visit. Many parents find it reassuring to be in the room and see exactly what is happening.

Dr. Natalie’s Pediatric Training and Credentials

Specialized training that makes a difference for your youngest patients.

Beyond her Doctor of Chiropractic degree and years of general practice, Dr. Natalie has pursued advanced training in pediatric care, including the PIPS Technique Certification. This training also focuses on treating the musculoskeletal tension related to a tongue tie and associated temporomandibular joint issues, which can make feeding difficult for newborns.

This specialized training means Dr. Natalie understands the unique anatomy, development, and needs of babies and children in a way that general chiropractic training does not cover.

What Your Child’s First Visit Looks Like

01 — Thorough history and listening.

Dr. Natalie takes time to understand your child’s full history, your concerns as a parent, and what you are hoping to address. She asks questions you may not have thought to ask.

04 — Gentle treatment and home guidance.

Treatment is always gentle, always explained, and always at your child’s comfort level. You leave with simple things you can do at home to support your child’s progress between visits.
