Many extended health benefit plans include chiropractic coverage. The amount covered and whether direct billing is available depends entirely on your specific insurance plan. At Tip Top Health, direct billing to your extended health insurer is available so you pay only the portion not covered by your plan, if any. To use direct billing, provide your extended health member number and any group or plan numbers at or before your visit. Tip Top Health will confirm your coverage and submit the claim on your behalf. Not all insurers and plans support direct billing. In cases where direct billing is not available, you pay at your visit and submit your receipt to your insurer for reimbursement.
What Does My Insurance Typically Cover?
Coverage varies by plan, but extended health benefits for chiropractic care commonly include a set number of visits per year, a maximum dollar amount per year, or a percentage of the visit fee. Tip Top Health offers direct billing to most major insurers, including Sun Life, Manulife, Canada Life, and GreenShield. Before your first visit, it is a good idea to contact your insurer directly to confirm whether chiropractic care is included under your plan, the annual visit limit or dollar maximum, and whether direct billing is supported.
What to Expect at Your First Visit
Your first visit is a comprehensive assessment, 60 minutes with Dr. Natalie Lopez. She will review your health history, discuss your concerns, and build a plan around what will actually help. You are never under any obligation to begin treatment after your assessment. If you are ready to move forward, your first treatment happens the same day. See our First Visit page for the full breakdown.
