I get this question a lot so I thought I’d dive in because honestly it’s not always clear & can make such a big difference once you get it treatment to the area!

𝟭. 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗷𝗮𝘄 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵
📍this can either be from tight muscles, joint, disc displacement or arthritis.
𝟮. 𝗝𝗮𝘄 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵
📍this can be from tight muscles, lack of coordination from your jaw muscles, disc or joint issues

📍this often happens from tight jaw muscles but it can happen from joint or disc issues too

You've just had a baby and now you've reached that 6 week clearance for exercise. ⁠

Although you've been cleared for exercise, that 6-week mark is where your healing begins, not where it ends.⁠

I see it all the time: new mamas go in for their 6-week checkup, get the all-clear, and jump headfirst into high intensity exercise in an effort to get their pre-baby body back.⁠

You may feel ready to get back to moving like you used to, especially if you’ve been taught to push through discomfort and pain but chances are you’re doing yourself more harm than good.⁠

Diastasis recti, pelvic organ prolapse, incontinence, back pain, and pelvic pain, etc. are no joke. These conditions are treatable, even preventable if you’re willing to take a pro-active approach to your healing. ⁠

Rather than jumping into crunches, sit ups, running, and jumping exercises. Try the options on the right and build up your strength! ⁠
